Warranty
All material and component parts used in the manufacture of BITASO products are warranted to be free from defects of material and/or workmanship for 5-years from date of sale.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Only products which are installed, used and maintained in accordance with applicable BITASO instructions, specifications and acceptable trade practices, are covered by the BITASO warranty. During the warranty period, with proof of purchase, BITASO will repair or replace with the same or similar product, at BITASO's discretion, without charge. Labour costs are the owner's responsibility and are excluded from this warranty. This warranty is void if the product is modified, tampered with, misapplied, poorly installed, improperly maintained, or subjected to abnormal conditions. Repair or replacement as provided under this warranty is the exclusive remedy of the purchaser. This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, including any implied warranty of fitness for a particular application. BITASO shall not be liable to the purchaser for indirect or consequential damages.
BITASO LED fixtures are warranted for 5-years against defects in material and workmanship. This warranty is limited to the furnishing of replacements found defective by BITASO and does not extend to claims for any labour, consequential damages, downtime or any other loss, damage or expense of any kind arising out of the defect. BITASO do not allow claims for unauthorised repairs, labour or material. Purchasers are expected to make their own judgment to determine the suitability of these products for their purposes. This warranty will only apply to half the cost of repair or replacement if the operating hours are more than 18-hours per day.
Warranty is voided
with respect to damage if:
1. The product is modified, repaired without written consent, improperly installed and/or lack of maintenance as required in Bitaso installation manual and specification.
2. The product is installed in an inappropriate area and/or there is a misuse of the products.
3. There are external causes relating to force majeure; including fires, earthquakes, floods, thunderstorms, acts of government, vandalism, crime, unstable power supply, power surges or dips.
4. The product label or warranty sticker are tampered with or removed.
5. Defects are discovered after the expiration of the warranty period.
BITASO reserves the right to modify or discontinue this warranty without prior notice.
Certification & Safety
BITASO both as a company and for our products comply to all required international standards and certificates. BITASO luminaires are designed and manufactured in accordance with international (IEC 60598 2-1) and European (EN 60598 2-1) standards. Internal electrical components are carefully selected from the world’s leading manufacturers who have obtained safety and quality insignia such as; UL, ETL, VDE, IMQ, KEMA and ENEC.
The protection classes and safety classes
Information on a luminaire withstanding the penetration of dust and water in accordance with IEC 60598 / VDE 0711.
Safety classes
Safety class I
luminaire provided with an earth connection.
Safety class II
the functional insulation. The luminaire has an additional protective insulation. Under fault conditions there are no dangerous voltage can reach metal parts which can be touched.
Safety class III
luminaire supplied with low voltage (12V, 24V), the luminaire does not need to be earthed.
Impact Resistance
The use of Joules (Newton metres-Nm) has been common for many years. More recently an IK rating normally used for electrical enclosures and cabinets (IEC 62262:2002) has emerged as manufacturers apply it to their luminaires, as they also enclose electrical circuits.

Degree of protection
The Ingress Protection (IP) rating, or International Protection Code, classifies luminaires according to their protection against the ingress of dust, solid foreign bodies and water as an IP number system required by IEC 60529 and in accordance with IEC 60598.
Protection from solids (First number)
IP1x Protection against solid objects of 50 mm. diameter and greater than 50 mm.
IP2x Protection against solid objects of 12 mm. diameter and greater than 12 mm.
IP3x Protection against solid objects of 2.5 mm. diameter and greater than 2.5 mm.
IP4x Protection against solid objects of 1 mm. diameter and greater than 1 mm.
IP5x Complete protection against solid objects and harmful dust deposits (dust-proof)
IP6x Complete protection against dust entry (dust-tight)
